Genre: Mystery/Thriller

Blurb:

I know everything about you. I know your name, your birthday, your kids’ names, where you live, where you work. I know when you get that big promotion, or when you argue with your spouse. You tell me all this because I’m your bartender. But someone knows everything about me too. Someone knows all my secrets and they’re using them against me. They’re setting me up. The police think I murdered Emily Parker. To prove my innocence I need to find the real killer. I need to beat him at his own game.

My Thoughts:

Clay has been framed for murder. Not just any murder, but the murder of the woman he has been secretly having an affair with, Emily Parker. No one believes him. He has proof that he is being contacted from Emily’s burner phone, but he has no choice but to play the game. The mystery texter is taunting him and leaving an enormous amount of proof from blood to fingerprints to frame Clay. Now, he’s on the run. Not only is he trying to save himself, but he is also trying to make sure that this psychopath doesn’t harm anyone else.

This is one of the best thrillers I’ve read this year. There are so many twists and turns that you’ll always feel one step behind the killer. There were so many moments that I had to take a breather because there were chills running down my spine. Clay is no saint, but it’s amazing how easy it is to set him up for a murder that he isn’t responsible for. This is definitely a book to add to your list.

I want to give a huge thanks to NetGalley, Steve Frech, and HQ Digital for the ARC of this novel for an honest review!
