Tully and Rachel Aston look upon their father’s fiancée, Heather, as nothing but an interloper. Heather is younger than both of them. Clearly, she’s after their father’s money.

With their mother in a precarious position, Tully and Rachel are determined to get to the truth about their family’s secrets, the new wife closing in, and who their father really is.

My Thoughts: Short chapters and multiple narrators make this a quick and enticing read. This is a family that has ISSUES! As if one family member with drama wasn’t enough, Hepworth gives ALL of the main players reasons to need therapy. The underlying issues of each family member makes for some very interesting relationships. Some aren’t telling, some are lying, some are attempting to reinvent themselves, some can’t be trusted to be reliable as they tell their side of the story. Does the reader ever really know the whole story? Although the characters are a bit over the top, the story is compelling.
